Fast, simple, effective! The Combat Application Tourniquet® (C-A-T®.) is probably the best known and most widely used tourniquet in the world. Recommended by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC), it is used by the military, police, civilian emergency services and now also by company paramedics, fire brigades and in private kits and helps to efficiently prevent massive blood loss in the event of serious limb injuries.
The bleeding is stopped by simply rotating the gag. The Velcro fastening of the gag ensures that it is securely fastened during transport. The Velcro strip, which also functions as a time band, can then be labelled with the time of application.
The C-A-T® Tourniquet is also suitable for one-handed self-application and is therefore perfect for use by the military and police units.
The handling of the Combat Application Tourniquet® has been further improved in Generation 7. A more solid, ergonomic toggle makes it easier to grip and turn. Thanks to the redesigned buckle, it is no longer necessary to thread the Velcro strap through two buckles, as was the case with previous C-A-T® generations.
